Q. What exactly is a Rainbow Theme Personal Photo Mosaic?
A. Many people who have lost a beloved pet take comfort in the Rainbow Bridge story which tells of an eventual reuniting of pet and master.
We create a montage of photos which includes the Rainbow Bridge in memory and anticipation of this hope.
Q. Otherwise is this the same as a regular Personal Photo Mosaic?
A. Yes, this is a special commemorative version which you can see here.
THE GIFT CERTIFICATE
Q. So where does the Gift Certificate fit in?
A. We now offer Gift Certificates that include the Rainbow Bridge theme.
You simply order the certificate from us and we will mail it to you or directly to the person you have chosen to get the memorial photo mosaic.
Of course, we also have Gift Certificates for the regular (non-Rainbow) Personal Photo Mosaic as well as for PetPix At Home.
HOW LONG IT TAKES
Q. Then what happens?
A. We work directly with your recipient to gather the photos and get their guidance on the makeup of the mosaic. When it's done, we can ship it directly to them.
Q. How soon after I order the Gift Certificate does the recipient get it?
A. We mail it to you (or to them, if you wish) as soon as your check clears.
PAYMENT
Q. Check? Can't I use a credit card?
A. Alas, no. To keep costs down we can't afford to absorb the fees charged by the credit card companies. But, on the bright side, we are still able to include restoration and shipping in the basic cost.
FRAMES
Q. Are they framed?
A. They come in inexpensive readymade frames, but we are not framers.
GETTING THE ORIGINALS
Q. How do you get their pictures?
A. If they live within about 35 miles of downtown Chicago, we can pick them up at no extra charge*. That also gives us a chance to go over the photos to see what might be most important to them.
Or, we can provide you (or your recipient) with a prepaid label for UPS that gets the pictures directly to us at no cost to them.
HOW MUCH IT COSTS
Q. Does all this cost more than a regular Personal Photo Mosaic?
A. No. Our standard price is still just $99 for an 8x10 Rainbow Theme Personal Photo Mosaic. That usually covers all the restoration of the photos we will use.
If you want to purchase something larger we will be happy to help you make your choice when you order the Gift Certificate.

If, once we see the originals, there will be extensive restoration work beyond the usual dirt spots, blemishes, slight fading and some cracking, we may have to ask you for an additional fee. If so, we’ll present that option to you before we begin. The recipient's choice of glossy or matte finish or faux oil painting is included.
We’ll also send them one 4x6 print of any restored pictures. Naturally, we send all their originals back in the same condition they were when we got them. The only exceptions might be if we had to disassemble an old collage or remove a mat. We cannot work from framed pictures.

EXTRA PRINTS? DIGITAL COPIES?
Q. What if they want additional prints of their new Rainbow Theme Personal Photo Mosaic? Are they available?
A. Yes, they are only $9 each (assuming they really are exact copies and they aren’t asking for changes from the version we've already completed). The price for copies is good for up to a year once you buy the original certificate from us.***
Your initial Gift Certificate purchase can include any of these extras that you wish to make a part of your tribute or you can add additional services later.
Q. What about digital copies?
A. Yes. If they want a CD-ROM with all the copies we’ve made – scans of their originals, restored versions of their pictures and the Personal Photo Mosiac itself – we can provide it for $29 with everything in ‘.jpg’ file format. And that price is also good for up to one year after you have purchased the original product from us.
Q. Can they do what they want with the pictures on the CD-ROM?
A. Almost. The images they provided are theirs, of course. We also grant them a license to make unlimited use of any restorations we did for them. However, the digital version of their Personal Photo Mosaic is copyrighted by The Visibility Group, Inc. and can be used by them to make unlimited personal prints but they are not licensed to make copies for sale or exhibition nor to distribute digital copies.
