Episode 13
FADE IN
When we left our hardy band of rustic natives, confrontation was in the air.
DP, unaware that he had been observed by a lust-smitten Shvoo, was cavorting around his trailer in one of Jolene’s thongs as Shvoo was headed for the trailer bearing a plate of fresh-baked sfoglia with marmalade and an appetite of her own.

Mona has taken her lunch break from the Speedway to go to Shvoo’s place for a showdown over Radish’s affections. She will arrive just in time to see Shvoo going to DP’s trailer and will follow her there.
Jolene, feeling ill again this morning, has taken a break from the Speedi-Mart and is driving home for a short nap which she hopes will refresh her before her evening stint at Bern’s school bus fumigation yard.
Red, looking to regain his “rep” after his outing as an "armchair" bass fisherman was headed for Maf’s to reclaim his part-ownership in Sonny’s boat. Upon arrival he will discover that Sonny has gone to DP’s trailer for a strategy meeting with Nerdy about her new competition from N. Pujols in the cut-rate funeral business.
Maf and Nonna are on their way to DP’s to question him about the rumor that he may have been the mole on licensing board during the disputed approvals for the proposed new NY Guy Bowlamat combination bowling alley, coin laundry and bar.

As these forces are all converging on one dusty corner of the trailer park, DP is distracted from his moment of self-modeling by a dog fight among the pile of cans under the rig. He exits the trailer to break up the fight and just as he steps around the corner he notices the caravan headed his way.
DP realizes that he has no chance to get back into the trailer without being seen in the thong. He steps into the tall weeds and hunkers down out of sight until everyone passes by. Realizing that Shvoo, Maf, Nonna, Red, Sonny and Mona are in fact coming to his door and spotting Jolene’s truck unexpectedly coming home as well, he panics and heads deeper into the brush. Without realizing it, this takes him in the direction of Nerdy’s trailer in the next section of the park. He comes out of the weeds just as she is stepping out of her unit to leave for her meeting with Sonny.

Waiting a moment for her to disappear, DP thinks that he can hide out in her trailer until the crowd leaves his. He steps through her door.
“Oh, wow, like yer DP!” comes the excited greeting from Little Boo, Nerdy’s teenage daughter, at the moment wearing a loosely wrapped polyester kimono and, quite obviously, nothing else. “I seen you sometimes out back shooting beer cans. I always wanted to meet you. Love yer outfit.” DP is stunned. “My ma won’t be back fer a while. Wanna watch some NASCAR or some Roseanne reruns?”
